Rocky Mountain refers to this frame as "Super XC." Frames like these are commonly referred to as all-mountain or trail, but given that it was designed by the legendary people from the Canadian company, Super XC might be the better term to use. Why? Rocky Mountain's LC2R (Low Center Counter Rotating) patented suspension system eliminates pedal bob and brake jack--two nemeses that plague full-suspension designs. So if your personality switches between uphill pedaler and downhill bomber, then this frame has your name written on it.
